Baxter

Family’s new show Baxter is about Baxter and his friends laughing, singing, dancing, and acting at a totally cool high school, Northern Star School of the Arts.

We’ll also see Baxter at home where he has twin step-siblings, a funny mother, and a trying-to-be-funny accountant step-father. Then there’s his actual father the famous actor who thinks his carefree son should GET IT TOGETHER.

But mostly we’ll be at Northern Star School of the Arts, where Baxter’s laid back attitude and problems taking direction cause friction with certain teachers and certain students who take this all a little too seriously (in his opinion).

In any case, Baxter and his friends have uncovered the secret to surviving and thriving at Northern Star School of the Arts- and that secret is each other. Whether it’s practicing lines and a pep talk before an audition, coming up with a creative way to end a dance routine, or helping each other chill out, they’re each other’s safety net, biggest fans, and enthusiastic advisors.

Some of these kids may go professional. But for most of them this is a crazy amazing way to spend high school. And at the end of the day, the only test you have to ace, the best performance of all, is being a good friend. And sharing a few laughs. Better yet, a lot of laughs.
